Still saying good-bye to the tile floor

Well I have to say thanks to our sanitation men who took away the first batch of tile! Good thing we have trash pick up twice a week.

Today we both had at the tile floor. Gina was a smartie and got a little stool to sit on. Made the job a little easier.

While Gina plucked tiles...I got to pull up sub-flooring, which is not a fun job. I did get all the sub-flooring pulled up in the Kitchen! Yay! Then I got to the dining room. The good news there is that the floor is oak. The bad news is that we found a patched area where there used to be a wall between the kitchen and dining room and probably a built in corner cabinet. I think I am going to pull up all the patch work and lay new oak flooring going the opposite direction as a transition between the kitchen and dining room. Still undecided. We may also build a half wall next to the door.

It looks like only one more day of popping tiles. I don't like to do it too long because it is pretty noisy. There already is enough noise in our neighborhood from barking dogs, including our own. Frankie the dingo dog next door bark, bark, barks....until his mom yells.... FRANKIEEEEE SHAT AP..... 

We are still waiting on a quote for the electrical job. We wanted that done before the floors, but that might not happen.
