Back to projects!

We ordered a new kitchen door and window to fill in the hole from the dining room wall air conditioner (which was about 40 years old!) last November. Well they finally delivered them at the end of January and we are finally getting them installed! Seldon, our carpenter (nanny to dogs) started the job today. It already feels warmer. Seldon will be back on Friday to finish up the job! The window in the dining room is small, but it was the quickest option to deal with the hole left by the ole ac! The door is really the same style we had before. There weren't a lot of choices. The old one was metal, didn't fit the frame. This one is fiberglass and came pre-hung.

The New Year

It is the new year, but we haven't started any new projects. We cleaned up after the holidays and then went to Disney World for almost a week. When we got back, our new dining room chairs came. It is starting to look like a real house!

We ordered a window for the old AC unit that is cover with a piece of fabric and the new kitchen door is in. We called up our contractor who is going to find some time to install them. Yeah!
